Hi friends! It’s me again and so soon! And with more exclamation points than are needed.
I’m sending you a quick note to let you know that I’ll be changing the look of Words on the Page. If you’re a person who uses social media, you’ve likely been pondering what to do in the wake of the changes in government south of the border, and the changes happening on Meta (which owns/runs/are evil overlords of Facebook and Instagram). While I don’t often use Facebook, I do love Instagram. It’s where I get a lot of creative inspiration, and have met a lot of lovely people. I also find and buy way to many knitting patterns that way.
Without getting to far into my thoughts, and worries about social media, I’m letting you know that I’ve decided to change Words on the Page to Artsy Fartsy.
What’s staying the same? Some things will remain the same. I will write rambling thoughts about creativity and writing and art. I will share what I’m enjoying. And sometimes there will be prompts to inspire creativity.
What’s the difference? I intend to email more frequently. Once a month will be like a collage or scrapbook of art, photos, videos, and words of others that I’m loving and inspired by. And then the other time, will be more like the email you’re receiving already.
What does this mean for you? I’m hoping that you’ll share art, photos, videos, and words that are inspiring you. I hope that they email that is more scrapbook/collage, can become something we can build together. If you share something I will credit you for sharing. And it doesn’t have to be your own work, if you are sharing something that is create by someone else, please send their name. Also, when you share something, send a few words about why you were drawn to it.
One more thing: THANK YOU for reading this newsletter. It means more than you’ll know that you open this and read my grammatically incorrect ramblings. And it means even more that some of you take time out of your day to email me, and leave comments. My heart swells every time I get a note from someone who’s read this. So again, thank you! And I hope you stick with me through this change.
